Transforming Recreational Amenities At Pelican Bay Community Park
Community recreational spaces often require modernization over time to meet changing resident preferences while improving long term performance, accessibility, and usability. At Pelican Bay Community Park in Naples, Florida, Ritzman Courts completed extensive upgrades designed to enhance both tennis and pickleball amenities within the facility.
Our work included rebuilding existing tennis courts into HydroCourt systems, an advanced subsurface irrigation solution commonly used with Har Tru clay courts to help maintain more consistent moisture levels and playing conditions while reducing manual watering requirements. HydroCourt systems require specialized construction knowledge involving grading, drainage, and integrated irrigation beneath the playing surface, making proper installation essential to long term court performance.
Beyond tennis court renovations, our team constructed new pickleball courts to support growing demand for one of Southwest Florida’s fastest expanding recreational activities. Supporting improvements included installation of new fencing systems and upgraded sports lighting designed to improve safety, visibility, and functionality throughout the facility. While the pavilion structure was completed outside our scope, Ritzman Courts was responsible for many of the foundational improvements contributing to the overall recreational environment.
